Questions journalists ask

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. Pick one of the open templates on the home page, add up to 150 words of notes and see a preview of your story. Create a free account to get the full draft.

Does Byline write the story for me?

It drafts from your notes using templates built for journalism. You check the facts, add your reporting and decide what is published. Byline never invents quotes or sources; when something is missing it marks the gap for you to fill.

Which AI models does it use?

Byline chooses the model for each plan and language, from Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama and Mistral, so you never have to.

Which languages does it support?

Write in one language and translate the finished story into another. Names, quotes and figures stay exactly as you reported them.

How do I pay?

By card, or by mobile money where it is available. Plans are paid monthly or yearly and you can stop at any time.

Is my work private?

Your drafts belong to you (or to your newsroom team). Byline staff do not read them, and they are never used to train AI models.
