Social media posts for news stories: WhatsApp, Facebook and X from one story
Paste your story and outlet name. Byline writes a WhatsApp broadcast message, a Facebook post and an X post, each in the right length and tone, linking back to your story.
How it works
Open Social Media Pack in your workspace and fill in what you know. Rough notes are fine; required fields are marked.
| You give | Example |
|---|---|
| Story headline and key fact | Three killed in highway accident, truck driver arrested |
| Your outlet name | The Daily Herald |
| Story URL (optional) | https://yournewssite.com/story (optional) |
| Target audience (optional) | General news readers (optional) |
Press Write and the draft appears as it is written. Edit it, then save it, translate it, turn it into a script or social posts, or send it to your editor.
Tips
- Add the story link so every post sends readers to your site.
- Say who the audience is: “young readers”, “business readers”, “local community”.
- Posts never add facts that are not in your story.
Accuracy first
Byline writes only from the facts you give it. It never invents quotes, sources or figures, and when something important is missing it marks the gap, like [CHECK: name of the spokesperson], for you to fill. You check every fact before publishing.
